Human Services Fund
The United Way of South Hampton Roads focuses its financial and volunteer resources on the most pressing community needs. The list of needs is ever changing. No one can predict what health and human service programs must be prepared to have these resources available to help those in need. The Comprehensive Human Services Fund is dedicated to a permanent investment in human services to the South Hampton Roads community - a vehicle to support visionary projects and provide a legacy for future generations. It will serve to benefit others by providing the resources necessary to help thousands of our friends, neighbors and families for generations to come while offering the greatest flexibility in human service programs and their funding. This fund is administered by the United Way of South Hampton Roads Board of Directors - an active, responsive group composed of local business and professional leaders, as well as other community volunteers, who will assess current human needs and ensure maximum community impact. A planned gift using United Way's endowment fund with either the Norfolk Foundation or Virginia Beach Foundation will not only continue to tackle challenges, new and old, but it will also support vital health and human service programs and serve as a beacon of hope for people in need throughout South Hampton Roads. |
